How to Earn XP
You can earn XP by cooking & serving food, earning promotions for each dish, visiting neighbors, and getting tips.
Cooking and Serving Food
This is by far the most common and effective way of earning XP. There are two parts to cooking food, which includes preparing and serving. Once you select a dish, you must prepare it twice before it goes through the cooking phase. After the cooking phase is over, you must prepare it once before serving. In this process, you earn XP for each time you prepare the dish (three times for each dish) and serve the dish. You earn the majority of the listed XP for a dish when serving it so it is very important that you don't let the food spoil!
Earning Promotions For Each Dish
You can also earn XP for getting promotions for each dish. Notice that the number of XP increases with each promotion. You are limited to four promotions for each dish.
Visiting Neighbors
You can also earn one or two XP for visiting neighbors. A reward of 2 XP, 1 XP and 20 coins, or 30 coins will be awarded.

You earn 1 XP and 20 coins for each tip you receive.

Deep Fryer
Dehydrator
The dehydrator appliance is available at level 11. The candied lotus root dish can be prepared through the dehydrator.
Sugar Coater
The sugar coater appliance is available at level 12. At the moment, there is one dish available: almond sugar cookies.
Cocoa Maker
The Cocoa Maker is available to purchase and build once you reach level 14. It only has one item currently: white hot cocoa.
Gifts
There are many gifts that are available. You can only send one gift to a neighbor per day so try to choose wisely. I recommend fulfilling any material requests before mass gifting your neighbors so that those who need particular materials to build items will get them - instead of receiving a random gift. There are 5 food gifts: croissant, cappuccino, chocolate cake, brownies, and hot chocolate. The value of these gifts are noted in the table below. If you are sending a food item to a neighbor, cappuccino has the highest value (500 coins). Brownies have the lowest value (200 coins).
How to Delete Neighbors
To delete neighbors for whatever reason, go to Menu, Settings, Social, Neighborhood. Then find "Your Neighbors" and press the "Edit" button.
You will then be able to remove neighbors as you wish.
